Hoot ‘n’ Howl update

This year’s theme is Carnival, and the gym will have rented midway games.

Changes this year:

  • all activities will be indoors
  • New penny sale; similar to a kids’ raffle. Kids can buy sheets of tickets and enter tickets to be drawn to win prizes of their choosing.
  • New Bake Sale location
  • Passports available to collect stamps from different stations.
  • Re-vamped Haunted House with Mad Scientist theme
  • New name “Musical Cakes” – you don’t know what that is, come to the Hoot to find out!

Families needed to take over the Candy Bracelet and Alien Body Parts stations. This entails purchasing items, set-up of the stations.

Please contribute unused gifts/loot bag items and used books (all ages, all subjects) for the Penny Sale and Book Sale. Donation bins are by the Main Office.

Volunteers needed to set up before the Hoot, to man stations during the Hoot, take-down; also to contribute sweet and savoury items to the Bake Sale and cakes for Musical Cakes. All items must be nut-free. Teenagers can sign up to volunteer; for high schoolers, this counts towards their mandatory volunteer hours. Contact Laura, as all teens need to complete a permission form prior to the Hoot.

New Hoot ‘n’ Howl posters designed by Erin Williams are available for posting around the community.

Silent Auction update

The Silent Auction will be on Friday, November 22, this year, with live band and liquor license!
